Peace Vans Makes Over I.D. Buzz
One Minute Read

After some speculation it looks official, Peace Vans of Seattle, Washington is going to makeover the I.D. Buzz from Volkswagen when it arrives on U.S. shores.
As those familiar with the industry know, Peace Vans is no stranger to replicating something that looks and feels like the old generation VW camper vans, with their Mercedes Metris a popular choice among travelers. Now Peace Vans has officially announced that they are set and ready to convert the I.D. Buzz, much like Westfalia did with the T2 and T3 that came decades before it.

“We took our dozens of years of experience working with small camper vans to build the ultimate micro camper for your ID.Buzz.,” says Peace Vans. “While still in the design phase, the final product will convert into four different modes in minutes. You’ll be able to sleep, hang out, eat and work while comfortably inside your beautiful ID.Buzz.”
Builds will begin in 2025, Peace Vans announced. Pricing begins at $7,000 and goes up considerably, depending on the layout package. Unfortunately, there is not a pop-top option currently. However, Peace Vans has plans to offer it as an option at some point in the future.
The biggest question is how the enthusiast market will react to it. Due to its small interior cargo area and lack of a pop-up as well as the lack of electric vehicle charging stations the response from the community is going to be poor. However, it’s doubtful that Peace Vans is catering to the hardcore Vanagon market, rather, they likely see the mass market who has no nostalgia for Vanagon as the logical choice.
